📍 Where to Take the Exam
The Boat Skipper exam can be taken at:
- The Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure in Zagreb, or
- Any of the Harbour Master’s Offices (Lučke kapetanije) along the Adriatic coast
📄 The exam content and procedure are defined by the Ordinance on Boats and Yachts (Pravilnik o brodicama i jahtama).
📝 What You Need to Register
To register for the exam, prepare the following:
- Completed application form (exam request)
- Two photos (3 × 3.5 cm)
- Copy of passport/ID and driving license (to prove First Aid certification)
- Proof of payment of the state exam fee
💳 Exam fees for foreign nationals (if taking the exam in English or German):
- Category B: €108.83

- The exam is oral and theoretical, conducted in front of a 3-member commission
- You are graded Passed / Not Passed
- It usually takes 20–30 minutes
